A casual Saturday lunch at The National is good living!
Posted on 12/10/2009 by Cheri Leavy |
A lazy Saturday lunch at The National is hard to beat. Especially after a long football season where Saturdays are taken with tailgates. Their bloody mary was top notch with incredible huge olives of course. Hats off to Chef Peter Dale again!
Roasted Cauliflower Soup with pumpkin seeds is such a wonderful seasonal start…

Braised Beef Short Rib Sandwich on Ciabatta, horseradish sauce, carmelized onion, slow roasted tomato and local arugula with crispy local potatoes…melts in your mouth is all I can say! It was a lunch special that we can all hope makes it to the menu.

Steak frites: grilled beef bavette steak, crispy potatoes, green salad, horseradish cream and piquillo pepper relish. If you love them in Paris like I do, wait til you meet Chef Peter Dale’s mediterranean version. It is an incredible combination of flavors.

The National’s second annual champagne dinner is set for Wednesday, December 16th at 7 p.m., call for more details at 706.549.3450.
