Appointments at Five celebrates their 25th anniversary!

We’d like to offer a enormous congratulations to Kitty Culpepper and Jenny Sligh for celebrating the 25th anniversary of Appointments at Five !
These two fine ladies opened up the charming Athens institution Appointments at Five in 1987, effectively turning their passion for antiques into a thriving business. When Appointments at Five first welcomed people through their ivy shrouded doors they only had four rooms to their name. However, Athens locals loved the fusion of European and Southern elegance so much that they have since expanded to two houses, both located at their original location on South Lumpkin street.
Appointments at Five prides themselves on catering English and Country French antiques to their customers. Apart from their antiques, they are renowned for their variety of merchandise, including everything from fine gifts and bridal registry to decorative accessories. Jenny and Kitty aim to provide an array of high quality items to their customers.
Through the many years Appointments at Five has been open, it is apparent that the taste of the customers has changed. Savvy business owners that they are, Jenny and Kitty have kept up with the changing times and re-organized their store to please the more informal customer of today. In fact, the two houses differ in they products they have under each roof. One focuses on more formal products such as crystal, silver, & china as well as antique furniture. The other maintains a more causal atmosphere, catering a variety of accents to perfectly decorate and compliment your home.
Clearly, Appointments at Five is something to celebrate and Kitty and Jenny have more than prepared the appropriate festivities. Below are some of the events they have this week to commemorate their success!:
Wednesday, November 14th: Wonderful Wednesday
-Beginning this Wednesday, Appointments at Five is kicking off the holiday season by taking of 20% of any TWO Christmas items storewide!
Sunday, November 18th: Christmas Open House!
-As the Appointments at Five elves have been busy setting up their holiday fare, they invite you to come to an open house this Sunday from 10am – 5pm. Come see what holiday cheer you can find within their walls!
