guide2athens would like to welcome Anne Maxwell Douglass as our new Intern Writer!

-We are thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the guide2athens team, Anne Maxwell Douglass, as an intern writer! A sophomore Kappa Kappa Gamma, Anne Maxwell is currently studying History and Journalism with a Public Affairs emphasis at the University of Georgia. Although she grew up right down the road in Augusta, Ga, she spent her high school years boarding at Episcopal High School in Virginia, where she learned lots of important things, like how do laundry and play squash. Anne Maxwell has been delighted to return home to the Peach State to continue her higher education. She has loved attending the university, citing that living in Athens is by far the best part of being a bulldawg.

-An Aries with two first names, Anne Maxwell spent this summer working for Wright McLeod for Congress as a Youth Campaign Coordinator, where she helped organize volunteers and plan campaign events. She also enjoyed working for the Public Relations director at the Morris Museum of Art, where she advertised museum events and learned about the Public Relations job description. When she isn’t buried under history books, Anne Maxwell enjoys seeing the Christmas lights in downtown Athens, jogging down Milledge, and cuddling with her beautiful and perfect dogs, Willie and Darla. She can be found enjoying the finer things of Athens on any given day, whether she is nibbling a dessert crepe at Pauley’s or enjoying a show at the Georgia Theatre. She is thrilled to join the guide2athens family and continue to experience all that the Class City has to offer!
