A Love Letter to South Kitchen

Dear South Kitchen,

You really outdid yourself tonight. 

Our dinner started over wine and fried goat cheese balls. Your delicious balls of melted cheese were a great first act.  Right when we thought it couldn’t get any better, you laid our next victim down, the fried green tomatoes. Every bite was better than the last, leaving us wanting more and more.

By the time we made it to your guacamole, images of Spring Break and muffin tops appeared. Therefore we slowly put down the chips and even more slowly picked up the vegetables. Our inner fat kid was extremely happy to discover that even your “good for you” stuff is good. Your Grilled Wedge and Springer Mountain Chicken were a true delight.

I take myself on the best dates ❤️

After dinner, we gabbed about future plans and future blog posts, but ultimately we talked about how sad we were it was over.

Our meal with you tonight left us full of both happiness and food, and we can’t wait to go back.
