Athens Farmers Market in Bishop Park
Cheri and Vance Leavy at guide2athens went to the Athens Farmers Market in Bishop Park bright and early May 9th. 16 Growers! 9 Craftspersons and Artisans! 4 Food Purveyors! We had a fabulous cup of 1000 faces coffee as we perused and picked out incredible produce for a delicious salad. We left with a bouquet of flowers and a few dozen fresh eggs as well. There was jazzy music playing giving the outing a groovy vibe and we bumped into a few friends too. What a nice way to start the day!
Ike and Jane in Normaltown, Athens, GA
Cheri Leavy recommends checking out Ike and Jane, a fabulous cafe and bakery in Normaltown, Athens. She and Vance had ham and cheese biscuits for breakfast but the donuts and muffins looked incredible too. Breakfast and lunch (it looked fab too) Monday-Friday 6:30-5:00 and Sat and Sun 8:00-2:00.
